Get Cash for Getting Rid of Your Grass!
Do you want less grass to mow? Have you wanted to Xeriscape all or part of your landscape? Maybe you don’t know how or don’t have enough money. Learn about a new program that can help you (if you are a City of Greeley Water Customer).
The City of Greeley Water Conservation program is conducting a “cash for grass” pilot project in 2018. This is an effort to remove turf (grass) and provide money (cash) for the purchase of low water use plants.
The class is led by Ruth Quade, the City of Greeley Water Conservation Coordinator. Ruth will go over the program and what is required to participate. This class will also touch on the best ways to transition from grass to xeriscape. In addition, you’ll learn ways to transform your landscape in a cost-effective way.
The class is free. Space is limited and RSVPs are required. This ensures that we have enough seats and materials.
Greeley’s Water Conservation Program offers a Landscape Lecture series to the community. This is one of these events. Visit GreeleyGov.com/LandscapeLectures for more information on all upcoming sessions. Follow the “water” tag on Greeley Calendar to find out more about all of our water and conservation events.
