2017 Children’s Water Festival is coming soon.
Fourth Grade classes from Weld, Weld, Morgan, and Adams Counties are invited to the event. The Festival theme is “Water Is Life.”
We are currently registering 4th-grade classes for the 2017 Children’s Water Festival. Teachers need to register by December 1. To better serve our students we’ve reduced the maximum number of students at the event. Register early to ensure your spot. Sponsors, presenters, exhibitors, and volunteers are also needed, please reply by February 24.
The Children’s Water Festival is a free event where Colorado water professionals provide presentations and activities about water, conservation, health, and aquatic life. A wide range of curriculum areas are covered, including language arts, math, science, social studies, visual art, and health.
The Central Colorado Water Conservancy District created the event in 1991. This festival is one of the oldest children’s water festivals in the nation. In 2006, the City of Greeley Water Conservation and Stormwater programs began co-sponsoring the event.
