This is the final day to check out the Greeley History Museum’s exhibition “Tails to Tell.”  The Greeley History Museum has gone to the dogs with an exhibition that explores the history and complex relationships between people and their animal companions. Check out historical images of people and their pets from the museum’s archives, snuggle up to a book in the children’s reading corner, and learn about Greeley’s hard-working police, fire and therapy animals.

The Greeley History Museum showcases and preserves Greeley and Weld County’s history through permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs, research and collections and features three floors of permanent and changing exhibits.

“Unsolved” is the newest exhibition at the Greeley History Museum. This interactive exhibition allows visitors to sleuth their way through some of Weld County’s most prominent murder mysteries. Discover clues, look through artifacts and photographs, and uncover the mysteries within.

Admission to the Greeley History Museum includes all of its exhibits. The museum showcases and preserves Greeley and Weld County’s history through three floors of permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs, research and collections. At the Greeley History Museum, artifacts, photographs and hands-on opportunities create a meaningful visitor experience.

2018 Holiday Open House will be Saturday, November 24th.

Small Business Saturday, Holiday Open House, Parade and Park Lighting Ceremony.

Celebrate Small Business Saturday and make it a downtown Greeley day November 24th. Thirty downtown Greeley businesses are hosting a bingo Holiday Open House. Pick up your bingo card at a participating business, get it stamped by at least 12 of the participants as instructed and you can enter to win $1,000, $300 or $200 in prizes and gift cards. No purchase necessary.

Most of the businesses are also hosting fun activities and the whole day promises to deliver wondrous holiday magic. Strolling carolers from the Greeley Chorale will delight the shoppers in the late afternoon.

"Well Dressed in Weld: Mourning Attire" Exhibit Ends @ Greeley History Museum

The last of the “Well Dressed in Weld” exhibition series, “Well Dressed in Weld: Mourning Attire” explores how people historically mourned death through the years. Learn about the etiquette that dictated clothing and the length of public mourning periods when someone passed away. Check out mourning attire and artifacts from 1870 to 1970, including examples of Victorian hair weaving, the practice of making an intricate art piece from someone’s hair. December 30 is the final day to check out the exhibit.

The Greeley History Museum showcases and preserves Greeley and Weld County’s history through permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs, research and collections. Check out the museum’s main exhibit, “Utopia: Adaptation on the Plains,” and then head over to one of the museum’s other galleries, which include updated exhibits several times each year.  At the Greeley History Museum, artifacts, photographs and hands-on opportunities create a meaningful visitor experience.
