Weld County: Get Involved!
The 2018 Ad Hoc Charter Review Committee is meeting regularly as it reviews and considers possible amendments to the Weld County Home Rule Charter. The public is invited to attend any of the meetings.
Community Meeting Dates:
April 4 – 6:00 p.m. at Highland RE-9 Admin. Bldg., 210 1st St., Ault
April 11 – 6:00 p.m. at the Hudson Fire Hall, 702 Cedar St.
April 18 – 6:00 p.m. at the SW Weld Building, 4209 WCR 24.5, Longmont
April 25 – 6:00 p.m. at the Weld County Admin. Bldg., 1150 O St., Greeley
May 2 – 6:00 p.m. at the Johnstown Senior Center, 101 Charlotte St.
May 9 – 6:00 p.m. at Windsor Town Hall, 301 Walnut St.
While the public is invited to attend any of the meetings, the general meetings are for committee discussion and the community meetings are geared toward gathering public comments regarding possible amendments to the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
All committee meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings from March through May. Additional meetings may be scheduled later in the review process depending on public interest. The goal of the committee is to review the home rule charter to make sure it is up to date and meets state constitution and statutory requirements. The public’s participation in this review is highly valued as the charter serves as the foundation for Weld County government.
