Join members of our community from Marcus Garvey Cultural Center, University of Northern Colorado, City of Greeley, Aims Community College and High Plains Library District have joined forces to honor the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the 25th Anniversary celebration.

This year’s theme is Beyond The Dream: Where do we go from here? The celebration includes the annual unity march, the celebration of Dr. King’s life and legacy, a reception, and a week of events hosted by partners across our community.

Unity March:
Begins at 9:15 a.m. at UNC’s University Center (UC.) A short program will be held to kick-off the march; the route continues down 10th Ave. and finishes at the Union Colony Civic Center (UCCC.)

Celebration:
The MLK Celebration at the UCCC’s Monfort Concert Hall begins at 11 a.m.  The event includes music, spoken word, theatrical performances, and more.

Reception:
Enjoy some light refreshments after the program at 12:30 p.m.

Transportation:
Greeley Evans Transit buses will offer free transportation the morning and afternoon of the march. Park downtown and ride the bus up to the University Center before the march or ride the bus back to the University Center after the celebration has concluded. The #5 Route goes from the UCCC to the UC every 20 minutes along 11 Ave.
